πŸŽ– Tips & tricks

The purpose of this post is to have some useful tips and things not so evident during the game to help new players. FEEL FREE TO ADD YOURS! :grinning:

  • Press β€œ-” to remove UI before taking a screenshot
  • Press and hold CTRL before clicking target to target anywhere (destroy buildings)
  • :heavy_heart_exclamation: Hold CTRL when clicking target allows you to shot new units in the board on the turn they spawn. Just make sure impact point is beyond the target if not a tank no to impact the ground
  • Shield while moving to ram units and knock them down (your mech will be considered one category higher)
  • You can shield your mates with proper timing shielding thru the firing line even if the shield mech is not the target

Maybe to add and extend some points:

  • Most weapons have lower idle scatter than moving scatter even of they don’t mention it when targeting (it is listed in the weapon stats under equiptment). Stand still for more accurate shots.

  • On ramming, next to the pilot picture near the level is a symbol you can hover over that shows the weightclass of your mech. You can ram anything lower than your weightclass without crashing. Vehicles count as 1 lower. Experiment with buildings and boosting, it is worth it .

  • Back shots do double concussion damage. Knocking out units means you are more likely to get the loot than the enemy. The concussion of a pilot is shown as a bar next to the portrait.

These are all really good tips. I didn’t know most of them, except using my shield mech to protect teammates.

All I can add is a neat trick I found. You can dash from rooftop to rooftop and even reach a rooftop that you normally couldn’t. You gotta dash to get off though too!

I’m not sure if this counts as a tip, but using high concusion weapons allows you to down the ennemy by KO, and thus gaining more parts and modules

Another little trick is you can get enemies to shoot each other by overlapping their attack with another enemy unit.

not as easy as it sounds

True, I usually have it the easiest to do when a convoy or multiple units are passing though a choke point down a road.

This is especially useful for the Flak Cannon as impact causes an AoE explosion which deals loads of damage. A direct hit with the Flak Cannon can nearly one-shot anything while the blast damages anything around the impact area.

EDIT: just make sure none of your mechs are close by lol. Damn near killed one of my mechs using it for the first time just because they were close by.
